Xbox Stealth releases Hi-Fi Rush from developer The Evil Within

Xbox has unveiled and released a brand new exclusive version of The evil within called developer Tango Gameworks Hi-fi hurry. Tango Gameworks is known for its terrifying and creepy games, heavily inspired by franchises like Resident Evil. The developer has made a lot of fans out of that, but it seems they want to try something totally new. The developer’s game has already been leaked once and there were some expectations that this game would make a surprise appearance on today’s show, but no one was quite sure what it would be or when it would appear.

Hi-fi hurry is a rhythmic action game and all attacks create new music in the game. If you perform well, your fight will yield great music and the visuals will help create something akin to a flashy music video. Players’ attacks are synchronized to the beat, but mastering them and making them sound as smooth as possible is in the hands of the player. On-screen cues help players know exactly when to attack, almost like a Batman Arkham-esque system that gives you cues to know when to counter and keep the battle running smoothly. There are also all kinds of fast movements and a colorful art style that is a bit reminiscent of Sunset Overdrive and Jetset radio. If that sounds great to you, you’re in luck. The game is out today on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Windows. It’s also available on Xbox Game Pass, of course.

Since we already knew what games to expect from the Xbox event, this was a huge surprise. Not only does it look fantastic, but it’s great that Xbox was able to surprise players by letting them play a new game on the same day. That rarely happens, but this looks like a fantastic game for Xbox players to delve into while they wait for some of the other big exclusives to come out later this year.

Hi-fi hurry is now available for Xbox Series X|S and PC. Are you going to watch the game? Let me know in the comments or give me a call on Twitter @Cade_Onder.
