Xbox Game Pass subscribers get a free Star Wars surprise

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have a new and free one Star Wars surprise, courtesy of EA and Microsoft. Unfortunately, if you’re a standard Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you’re out of luck; there is no Star Wars surprise for you. For those who don’t know, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the premium level of Xbox Game Pass. For an additional $5 per month, Ultimate subscribers get access to the EA Play library, Xbox Live Gold, and random perks and benefits. It’s unclear if the latest surprise comes via EA Play or a preview of the latter, but right now Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can upgrade to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe free from the basic version.

In addition to the basic experience, this premium version of the game also includes a cosmetic skin for BD-1, a cosmetic skin for the Stinger Mantis, a Digital Art Book, and a “Director’s Cut” featuring over 90 minutes of special footage and videos behind the screens.

It is unclear whether this is a permanent offer or a temporary deal. Be that as it may, you must own the base version of the game to get this version for free as it is an upgrade path.

If you’re not there Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order still, now is a good time, as the sequel will be out on March 17, 2023. You don’t technically have to play the first game to enjoy the sequel, but they are linked.

At the time of publication, the above offer is still available. However, it’s important to note that by the time you read this, the deal may have expired.
