Xbox Game Pass finally reveals first big games for 2023

While Xbox Game Pass released several major games in 2023, there were few real announcements or surprise releases in the first month of the year. That all changed today with several announcements, including a new game available to play starting today! A total of nine games have been revealed, all of which will be released within two weeks. There’s a nice variety of titles on offer, both on console and PC. The titles and their Game Pass release dates are as follows:

  • Hi-fi hurry– January 25 (Xbox Series X|S, cloud, PC)
  • Golden Eye 007– January 27 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Cloud)
  • robo quest Game Preview – January 30 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S)
  • Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition– January 31 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Cloud)
  • Inculinati Game Preview – January 31 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Cloud, PC)
  • JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R– January 31 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Cloud, PC)
  • Darkest dungeon– February 2 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Cloud, PC)
  • Grid legends– February 2 (cloud)
  • Hot Wheels Unleashed – Game of the Year Edition– February 7 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, cloud, PC)

Of the games announced today, Hi-fi hurry and Golden Eye 007 probably generate the most excitement among subscribers! Revealed during today’s Xbox Bethesda Developer Direct, Hi-fi hurry is the latest game from Tango Gameworks, the developer behind it The evil within. In the meantime, Golden Eye 007 is the 1997 Nintendo 64 classic and is often regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time. Xbox fans have also been calling for the release of the Age of Empires series on console, and Age of Empire II marks the first of two games in the series coming to the platform.

As new games are added, other games are removed, leaving subscribers with a limited amount of time to play Donut County, Taiko no Tatsujin: the drum master, Telling liesand Worms weapons of mass destruction. All four games will retire on January 31.
