Tom Cruise is completely obsessed with testing the boundaries of his acting abilities in order to achieve ever-greater results.

Following the critical and commercial success of Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise has redefined the concept of lifting his work to new heights.

The Hollywood action veteran, who will soon turn 60 years old, is scheduled to become the first actor to shoot a film in space.

When it comes to reaching new heights, Tom Cruise is figuratively and literally going above and beyond for a project that is out of this world.

Doug Liman, who worked on The Bourne Identity, is currently working with Tom Cruise and has discussed sending him to the International Space Station for his next film

UFEG Chairman Donna Langley said the movie will be filmed mostly on Earth, but "the character will go to space to save the day."

She went on to say that she has a lot of faith that Tom Cruise will become "the first person to undertake a spacewalk outside of the space station."

The nature of the project, as well as the time frame for when it will be put into production, have not been disclosed as of yet.

If this project goes forward, there is a possibility that Tom Cruise will be the first actor in history to shoot scenes for a movie in space.
