Warzone 2 players want old feature to return

Call of Duty: War Zone 2 players are a bit fed up with some of the changes made since the predecessor. Call of Duty is a very interesting franchise because on the face of it, it has largely remained the same since its inception. You run around, shoot people on tight maps and get rewarded if you do it right. Pretty simple, which is why it has wide appeal. However, for fans, the developers need to change things up with each new entry to make it feel more refined and help it stand out from the other games. Those who play the games from year to year know that the series has undergone massive changes and War zone 2 is not really an exception.

Call of Duty: War Zone 2 makes a ton of gameplay changes, some of which have sparked some controversy. One of the biggest problems people are facing right now is looting. Reddit user Subtletee7 made a post complaining about the fact that the looting is much worse compared to the previous game as it is slow, has a cluttered UI with the backpack system and items can slip and force you to hold the camera at a very specific angle places before you can pick it up. Other Redditors agreed and were frustrated by how sluggish it feels in comparison. Others weren’t too upset, noting that the game has clearly chosen to slow down the pace of combat and gameplay as a whole. Nevertheless, there are some issues beyond it taking a bit longer to stock up. As noted earlier, the way loot is displayed can mean you can’t really grab it without awkwardly positioning yourself.

It’s like Infinity Ward and Raven will take a lot of feedback with this new version. It looks like it has a good starting position and will serve well for iteration. At this point it’s unclear how soon we’ll get new maps and other major updates, but hopefully the major issues will be resolved soon.
