Valheim update finally lets players try out new Mistlands content, patch notes revealed

After several Valheim teasing to show off new Mistlands content over time, developer Iron Gate Studio has finally brought the Mistlands to the game’s test servers for players to try out. Iron Gate announced the addition of Mistlands content this week in an update intended to roll out needed balance changes and bug fixes by allowing players to preview the content before its official release. Alongside that update came two different sets of patch notes: one for those who just want the highlights and one for those who want to know everything about the update and aren’t afraid of spoilers.

As those who have been Valheim and his test servers will know that things may not always work out there as intended, but even if something breaks, at least this is a chance to try out the Mistlands. Iron Gate also warned players that in some cases it can be easier to start over if you want to try out the Mistlands rather than continue in a world where you’ve already done a lot. As is the case with previous previews, mods are also not recommended as this is new, incompatible content.

“An important thing to note is that the Mistlands biome will only be generated in areas that you haven’t discovered yet,” Iron Gate said of the Mistlands content. Therefore, if you’ve explored a lot of your world, you might be better off starting a new one to actually be able to travel to the Mistlands. As usual, mods will also most likely prevent the game from starting, as they’re only compatible with the live version of the game. If you have any mods, you’ll need to uninstall them or wait for the mod to update before you can play.”

The abbreviated patch notes can be found below to protect people from spoilers. If you want to see the full overview, you’ve done it have that here.
