The Witcher 3 adds fan-favorite feature 7 years later

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunts next-gen update is finally almost here. A few weeks ago, CD Projekt Red announced that the RPG classic is coming to PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, along with a wide variety of new content, improvements and improvements. This week, all of this was finally revealed alongside word of the addition of a feature that players have been asking for since the game originally released in 2015.

More specifically, CD Projekt Red surprised fans of the RPG this week by revealing that cross-save is being implemented, which is huge news for those who play the RPG across multiple platforms. The post of the feature flew under the radar because of the aforementioned feature, but those who got the confirmation from CPDR were quite pleased with the news.

“I love that the cross-save feature is also implemented in The witcher 3 update,” writes a fan of the news on Twitter“It’s great to just continue playing on another platform and not worry about going through several playthroughs or trying to manually import those saves somehow.”

“Cross Save announced for Witcher 3. That’s all I needed to hear. Thank God,” adds another fan. “Transmog would be super appreciated, but that’s fine, cross saves are much more important to me between PS5 and Steam Deck.”

For those who don’t know: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt debuted on May 19, 2015 and is the game responsible for putting CD Projekt Red on the map. It is not only widely regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time, but also one of the best games of all time across all genres. Notably, it has a 93 on Metacritic. Despite being seven years old, few RPGs since then have been able to match its storytelling and even fewer open world games have been able to create an open world equal to its expansive and vibrant world.
