The intimate nature of the setting and captivating performances from a cohesive ensemble help sell the bizarreness of the concept, and even if the final result irks the audience, those disappointed in the result may only feel those frustrations because you’re so deep in the resolution invested and easy. The experience could have easily meant three disappointments in a row for Shyamalan, but he’s managed to bounce back strong enough by embracing his narrative and directorial strengths that we’ll continue to watch the big swings that keep us on our toes instead from which he rests. his laurels.”
