The identity of Monica Rambeau’s hero seems confirmed

Monica Rambeau’s new identity has arrived The miracles maybe just revealed. In the new comic book featuring the Marvel character, fans were shocked to find out her name is Photon. Now she has gone by many names in the past, including Spectrum and Captain Marvel. But in that book she is Photon. Eve L. Ewing, author of the title, spoke with Black comic gentlemen about her work and who made the decision on her hero name. She hints that it wasn’t exactly on the publishing side. Check out what she had to say below!

“Keep in mind, comics world, as you all know, the publishing house and the MCU side don’t communicate very often, but sometimes they do,” she said. “Let me put it this way, I’ll tell you this, I didn’t choose her to be called Photon in this comic, I’ll tell you. That’s all I’ll say.”

How will she interact with Captain Marvel in The Marvels?

Parris previously spoke to about your “exciting” developments within The miracles. Stage 4 felt a bit like a reset to get everything in place for Kang’s big arrival. Now that he’s out on the road, that means the rules are out the window. With Captain Marvel’s inner circle, there’s some dynamic that needs to be built out. Namely what has changed between Monica and Carol after all these years apart.

“Yes, when Monica was an 11-year-old girl, her mother and Aunt Carol had a wonderful relationship,” Parris revealed. “And so I think what’s been great with WandaVision gets to watch Monica grow up, and we haven’t seen her in over 20 years, or how much for that matter, and as we slowly start to see it’s revealed what her life has been like since we last saw her. And so Carol Danvers was a part of her life when we last saw her, and to see that something is still there, I think is very exciting. Because as we know, or maybe not, but I’ll tell you, Monica will be in Captain Marvel 2 with Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel. So that gives us room to explore further what might happen there, so I don’t want to spoil anything for you.”
