The Callisto Protocol has received a brand new live-action trailer starring Josh Duhamel. We’re only a week away The Callisto Protocol and the marketing for the game is now in full swing. The game is essentially a spiritual successor to Empty space, as directed by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield, and is a return to its sci-fi horror roots. The director left Visceral Games in the late 2000s to co-found Sledgehammer Games, where he would spend several years working on Call of Duty. Now he’s back in the realm of horror and it looks like we’re in for a treat.
A new live action trailer for The Callisto Protocol debuted today during the Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants game and then there was a longer version with red belt released on YouTube. The trailer shows Josh Duhamel’s character, Jacob Lee, crash landing on the planet and must fight for his life while encountering gross, disgusting creatures. It’s pretty high quality and also helps shed light on the premise of the game. Anyone looking forward to the game will probably appreciate this high quality ad and in theory it could even increase your hype for the game.
There is some concern about it The Callisto Protocol in recent days after it was revealed that there would be DLC for the game with a harder difficulty and additional death animations. Many felt this was content that would likely be included with other games behind a paywall at launch. However, Glen Schofield has come out and noted that this content has not yet been created. Instead, it will be things the team is working on in 2023 exclusively to release as season pass content, rather than putting aside things that have already been created so that it can be sold separately. At this point, it remains to be seen how good the game will actually be, but there are high expectations for the title.
The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2, 2022 for Xbox, PlayStation and PC. Are you excited for the game? Let me know in the comments or give me a call Twitter @Cade_Onder.
