The Boys Creator teases next-level disgusting moments in Season 4

Amazon is filming the fourth season of their popular Prime Video series The boys, and the series will add some new cast members ready to change the status quo. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Guardians, The living Dead) has been cast in a mystery role hyped by several of his costars, and Simon Pegg (Star Trek on, Shaun of the dead) will reprise his role from the series’ first season. The boys Season 3 was arguably the best season they’ve ever released, and it featured some pretty nasty moments. But now it looks like the fourth season of the series is going to outdo itself. Showrunner and executive producer Eric Kripke responded to one of the behind-the-scenes people on the series and revealed the news.

A VFX supervisor of the series tweeted: I think I’ve just seen the most disgusting thing I’ve seen working in this industry to date. #TheBoystv.” To which Kripke replied. “You know what the best thing about this is? I honestly wonder “which one?” #TheBoys #TheBoystv @TheBoysTV.” You can watch the interaction below!

The boys was officially renewed for a fourth season weeks before the season finale aired. With the series ending on such a high note, fans are sure to be excited to see what happens next. Karl Urban, who plays Butcher on the series, recently revealed when filming for the series’ fourth season will begin, so we may get some new information sooner or later.

From our first conversation with Eric Kripke and the creative team on Season 3 of The boyswe knew the show was going to get even bolder — an impressive feat given the huge success of its Emmy-nominated second season,” Vernon Sanders, head of global television, Amazon Studios, said in a statement. “The boys continues to push boundaries in storytelling while also being relentlessly entertaining and threading the needle on social satire that feels all too real. This stylized world of the series has an incredible global reach and the opening weekend viewership is proof of that. We are extremely proud of the cast and crew that have spawned a franchise for Prime Video, but we look forward to bringing more of The Boys to our customers.”

“Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew, we are so thankful to Sony, Amazon and especially the fans for embracing the show and enabling us to make more,” The boys show runner, added. “We’re excited to continue Butcher and the Boys’ battle against Homelander and the Seven, and comment on the insane world we live in. This is also the first time in history that exploding genitalia has led to more success . .”

Jeff Frost, President, Sony Pictures Television and Jason Clodfelter, Co-President, Sony Pictures Television said in a statement: “The boys producers and cast have proven year after year that there isn’t a bar they can’t jump over. We’re incredibly proud of this brilliant and subversive genre-bending series. Our relationship with Prime Video is much more than a partnership, it’s more like an extended family. Everyone here at Sony Pictures Television is grateful to join Prime Video and Eric Kripke for another successful season.”

All episodes of The boys now streaming exclusively on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more details on Season 4.
