The Boys and Supernatural star Jensen Ackles really, REALLY wanted to be with The Last Of Us

Jensen Ackles made a name for himself by starring in the popular CW series that aired for 15 years. Supernatural, and has had a great career ever since. Ackles has since starred in Amazon Prime Video’s hit series The boys and season 3 of Big sky. He has also had a number of voice acting roles, including starring in the DC Comics animated universe as Batman. At a Supernatural fan eventAckles revealed that he wanted to play Joel in HBO’s live action The last of us series, but the role eventually went to Pedro Pascal.

“I was pushing pretty hard for the role of Pedro Pascal in The Last of Us,” Ackles said. “I don’t think I was really in the mix or even had a shot at it. I was like, oh, that was high on my radar.”

The boys was officially renewed for a fourth season weeks before the season finale aired. With the series ending on such a high note, fans are sure to be excited to see what happens next.
