fin wolfhard revealed that he had constant panic attacks throughout his teenage years, while filming seasons of Stranger things.

The actor took part in an interview for the Indie thread In addition Jesse Eisenbergwith whom he worked on the film When you’re done saving the worldwhere the star from The social network directed and written.

According to Finn, he was very nervous about starring in the comedy drama but that his colleague reassured him and said he could overcome it. Jesse said he was like that too, and over time learned:

“[O Jesse] said to me, ‘Have you seen me before? I am the most nervous man in the world.” I was so tense and nervous about everything because I thought, ‘This is my first movie as an adult.’

In the middle of a series that broke out of nowhere, Finn said he’s had panic attacks on a high frequency since he was 15. “I didn’t want to talk about it at the time because I was in the middle of this career turmoil, so I didn’t have time, or at least it felt like there wasn’t time,” he explained.

In addition to the sudden success, which is very difficult to deal with even in adult life, Finn was still learning to navigate the maturation phase. From the outside, he said, it may seem like everything was fine, but that was because I had developed the “skill” of masking his anxiety while I was working:

“Everyone looked at me and thought, ‘Look at him, he’s fine. He’s having so much fun’. But in reality I was probably still developing and fears were bubbling in my head. There were things I didn’t understand and which I had to keep to myself because of how I had to feel at work.”

The actor also admitted that he was very afraid that his career could end suddenly. The impression he had was that it was all too good to be true. “When things seem too big and big, it can seem even bigger to child actors who feel like it could all be over in a heartbeat,” the actor admitted.

At least he confessed to having support from his co-stars, especially Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, and Caleb McLaughlin, who lives Lucas:

“They said to me, ‘Look man, we’re the only ones who know what it’s like.’ Gaten and Caleb, our friendship is for life, we will always be connected.”
