Shazam! Anger of the Gods now playing exclusively in theaters, finally brings the next chapter of the “Shazamily’s” story to life on screen. In addition to the returning members of the film ensemble, the sequel features quite a few new additions to the cast. among them West Side Story And Snow White star Rachel Zegler, who plays the character of Anthea in the movie — and who recently had a hilarious take on the prospect of joining the franchise. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Anger of the Godsred carpet, Zegler was asked what compelled her to step into the DC Universe.
“I needed a job,” Zegler explained. “I’m so serious.”

Zegler joins the franchise as Anthea, one of Atlas’ daughters who comes into conflict with the Shazamily.
“It’s funny because I had no idea about her singing, and it seems like she sings in every other movie,” director David F. Sandberg recently told Weekly entertainment. “In ours she doesn’t because I just didn’t know!”

In Shazam! Anger of the Godswhen Billy Batson and his foster siblings, who turn into superheroes by shouting “Shazam!” must travel to make peace with the gods because Billy takes their powers for granted.
