Jackman withdrew from the Wolverine role but was persuaded to return for a team-up with Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3. Seeing Wolverine and Deadpool together on the big screen has the potential for movie magic, but there are concerns about how the sequel will reverse the events of Logan. Happy it seems Logan‘s legacy is indisputable.
Ryan Reynolds was a guest on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallonwhere the subject of Logan and Deadpool 3 came up. When Fallon asked Reynolds about Hugh Jackman’s comeback as Wolverine, Reynolds said it was very exciting, adding: “We’ve come up with a way of doing it that’s been approved by Hugh Jackman and Kevin Feige, where we’re taking the legacy from Loganas it had remained. We wouldn’t mess with that.”

“I went to a screening of Deadpool. I was in there for 20 minutes, and I thought, ‘Ah, damn it!’ “said Jackman. “All I kept seeing in my head was 48 hours. with Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. So it’s been brewing for quite some time. It just took me more time to get here.”

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman announced Wolverine for: Deadpool 3 on September 27.
