Rick and Morty Showrunner Believes Season 6 Is Best As A Fan (Exclusive)

Rick and Morty kicked off Season 6 earlier this year with some of the best-received episodes in many years, and the showrunner behind the season believes it’s due to Season 6 being put together the “best” in terms of all the elements fans have fallen in love with. got on in the past of the series! As Rick and Morty preparing to return for the final episodes of Season 6 which begin November 20th on Adult Swim, ComicBook.com had the chance to speak with Executive Producer and Showrunner Scott Marder about the season so far. Marder explained that because he approaches the series as a fan himself (signed on from the fourth season), Season 6 is the “best version” of what he, as a creator and fan, would like to see in the show itself.

What Makes Rick and Morty Season 6 a Good Season?

“I have to start season four as a huge fan like anyone else. So I feel like I’m always thinking about what I want as a fan in my perfect season of this show,” Marder began when asked about recording more of the story elements in the final episodes. “And I would say season six is ​​the best front-to-back version of what I, as a creator/fan of this show, would like in this show, which is a little bit canon, a little bit just slight arcs, funny one-off , just a little bit of everything, because I think this show has such depth. It’s so cool that it can do all these different things.”
