PUBG shows off new map rework and returning features

PUBG: battlefields is doing another one of its maps again soon, with Krafton showing off some of our first and best looks yet on the new and improved Vikendi this week. It’s called “Vikendi Reborn,” and as such, it’s essentially been redone from the ground up. It will also be accompanied by the return of the snowmobile, a vehicle that has been attached to the snowy map in the past and will be back alongside the revamped Vikendi.

During the week, PUBG players may have seen the game’s social accounts teasing this major Vikendi update via posts like the one below that showed off the minimap for Vikendi Reborn. We see several points of interest highlighted in the broader overview of the map alongside a split image showing specific areas where players are likely to go when playing on the new map. It’s supposed to release on December 6, so it won’t be long before players can explore it for themselves.

In addition to this teaser PUBG also showed the return of the snowmobile which, based on the preview shown so far, is really just a snowmobile and nothing more. However, it’s still worth noting since the PUBG team says it’s now “improved” alongside the map in general.

These plagues are just two of the plagues we’ve gotten over time and more were shared through the game Youtube Channel and other social media, so suffice to say, this kind of teaser isn’t going to stop anytime soon during the run up to Vikendi’s relaunch. The developers also recently held a special live stream where they talked more about Vikendi Reborn and also gave away some G-Coin, though it seems the live stream hasn’t been re-uploaded to the game’s official channels at this point.

PUBGs The Vikendi Reborn map will arrive in-game on December 6, along with an update that will surely be accompanied by its own set of patch notes to peruse, so expect to see those appear in the coming days to get a detailed overview of everything that is new.
