The actress Florence Pug revived an argument that took place last year over a see-through dress she wore braless and exposed her nipples.
The dress was part of the collection of a fashion show by designer Pierpaolo Piccioli in which the actress participated in July 2022 and gave something to talk about.
Returning to the subject, she was adamant when she said, “I’ve never been afraid of what’s under the cloth. If I’m happy with it, I’ll use it. Of course I don’t mean to offend people, but I guess my point is, how can my nipples offend you like that?”
The star received a lot of nasty comments at the time because there are still people who are offended when they see a woman showing her breasts. However, she did not back down or apologize for wearing the garment.
Rather, Pugh believes that attitudes like hers can help people deconstruct outdated concepts, such as the idea that a woman deserves to be raped if she wears “provocative” or “sexy” clothing.
“It is very important that we do this. I know some people might laugh at me for saying this, but if a dress that shows my breasts encourages people to say, “Well, if you were raped, you deserved it,” then it just shows me that there is much more work. to be done. do,” she said in an interview published by the website Page six.
Florence Pugh had spoken on the subject on other occasions
Last year, the artist used her Instagram account to vent about this problem.
“It’s not the first time and it certainly won’t be the last time a woman learns from a crowd of strangers what’s wrong with her body.
During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she also didn’t discount the topic, noting:
“I felt comfortable with my small breasts,” she said of the pink dress. “And showing them like this underlined my comfort. It was shocking how much of a nuisance it caused,” she reflected.
In addition to attracting a lot of attention in the role of Yelena Belova in the movie Black Widow and in the series Sagittarius hawkfrom the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pugh has appeared in other Hollywood productions.
The actress took part in such films as sum of thoughts (2019) and dear women‘ (2019).
