Sword Art Online Progressive’s latest feature film is now hitting the box office all over Japan, and the film is gearing up for the rest of the world launch with a new trailer showing off the English dub version! The official Sword Art Online spin-off project from series creator Reki Kawahara goes all the way back to the beginning of the Aincrad arc to show off a new take on those early events of Kirito and Asuna’s time with the franchise, and the new feature films have helped highlight this new take on the franchise so far in some cool ways.
Aniplex of America has announced plans to bring Sword Art Online -Progressive- Scherzo from Deep Night to cinemas in the United States and Canada starting next year, and to celebrate, they’ve released a new trailer showcasing the film’s English dubcast. Directed by Ayako Kohno at A-1 Pictures, with Kento Toya returning to design the characters, Yasuyuki Kai returning from the previous film as action director and Yuki Kajiura returning to compose the music, Sword Art Online -Progressive- Scherzo from Deep Night is currently scheduled for release in theaters in the United States and Canada sometime in February 2023. If you want to catch up on the franchise, you can currently find the TV anime series streaming now with Crunchyroll and the first Sword Art Online Progressive movie, Aria of a Starless Night, will begin streaming with the service on November 24.
