New Elden Ring update may tease DLC reveal

A new update linked to that of FromSoftware Elder ring has given fans hope that a new DLC announcement is on the horizon. In recent months, those who are still playing Elder ring have gone on to disclose that they want to see new add-on content of some sort for the critically acclaimed action title. And while FromSoftware itself hasn’t said there’s no DLC for the game in the pipeline just yet, it looks like we’ll be able to get more information on that soon.

It was noticed over the past day that a handful of tweaks were being made behind the scenes to the Steam version of Elder ring. These changes were noticed via SteamDB, a site that tracks games available through Valve’s PC marketplace. And while it’s not yet known what these updates might entail for the game, the fact that FromSoftware appears to be making changes to the title indicates that the studio could be gearing up for a big reveal.

In all likelihood, if FromSoftware plans DLC for Elder ring, chances are it will be announced later this month. Last week, publisher Bandai Namco announced that it would hold a one-year anniversary event Elder ring later this month on February 25. Bandai Namco didn’t say exactly what would happen at this event, but it seems like a logical place to announce new content that could be coming to the game in the future.

Provisional, Elder ring is currently playable on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms. If any future DLC for the game is revealed in the near future, we’ll be sure to let you know here at ComicBook.com.

Do you think it’s only a matter of time until there’s new DLC for it Elder ring is revealed? And for what type of new content Elder ring want to see if the game gets an expansion? Let me know in the comments or give me a call on Twitter @MooreMan12.
