Is it time for a new NXT Champion? Who should it be?

Matthew Aguilar: I just don’t think anyone will dethrone Breakker until Carmelo Hayes gets a shot at the title, so while I think Waller would certainly be entertaining as champion, I just don’t think Breakker isn’t knocked off the top spot just yet.

Nick Valdez: I wouldn’t mind Grayson Waller taking it! Not only does he hold several segments himself, but NXT also needs a champion who can cut promos. It’s just not really a source.

What should be the future for toxic attraction?

Mat: It’s best for them right now to have them in the title chase, but if they lose to Perez, I feel like they’re just circling the runway before a main roster is called up. They’re such a good duo that it’s a shame they’re being broken up, or at least NXT is teasing their breakup. I’m fine with a singles run for both, though I think I’d rather see them make the jump to the main roster and be deployed there in different groups. Jayne would be a perfect addition to Damage CTRL, and Dolin would be a perfect partner for Sonya Deville in a tag team, which is what the main roster needs. I hope the main roster is running.

Nick: It’s better to split them up, I think. It’s a shame because Toxic Attraction really could have gone to Raw or SmackDown and taken over, but without Mandy there really is a huge hole in their credibility. Rather than building from scratch, it’s best to just move on and see what Gigi and Jacy can do on their own.

Should Roxanne Perez be the next challenger to a Main Roster Superstar?

Mat: So right now your biggest heels in NXT Toxic are Zoey Stark and Tiffany Stratton since Isla Dawn is currently in a story with Alba Fyre. It feels like they would like Stratton to get some extra wins under her belt for a title match against Perez, so Stark may be the best option as her next opponent. However, if you were to bring someone from the main roster, I’d love to see Xia-Li or Sonya Deville jump back to NXT for a while.

Nick: Hmm maybe? It would be nice to see someone else come down and warm up Perez more, but I don’t think it’s necessary either. Just let her dominate the NXT Women’s Division for a while!

Will The New Day lose their NXT tag titles? Is it Chase U’s time?

Mat: I’d love to see Chase U win as they are a constant delight every week. That said, I just don’t feel like they’re going to beat The New Day. It feels like New Day’s time in NXT isn’t quite over yet, and they’ve done wonders for the titles by having them on SmackDown.

Nick: Would love it when it’s Chase U’s time! Don’t really see the new day hanging around much longer, and I don’t really like the other options available in this match. Let’s hope it’s Chase U, because they really deserve some sort of recognition for delivering great segments from week to week.

Are there any big surprises or appearances in the main roster on Vengeance Day?

Mat: I’m not exactly sure what that would be. Aside from a surprise appearance from a star in the main roster, I’m not sure what else NXT could do here to really shock me, other than sacking a current champion. I will say there will be at least one little surprise, but beyond that I’m not sure.

Nick: I don’t really think so. Despite the show’s new premium live event tier, NXT’s programming is relatively self-contained. I hope we get a surprise in terms of who the next potential contenders could be, but unfortunately I don’t have much hope for anything other than a solid show to watch.
