My Hero Academia takes on Marvel’s best villains with cool art

My Hero Academia has seen heroes like Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto battle a host of villains, but how would they fare against the villains of another universe? One artist has taken on the task of imagining what some of the strongest Shonen heroes might look like battling the villains of the Marvel Universe, following the recent crossover that saw Kohei Horikoshi’s All Might as a lend a hand to the Merc With A Mouth, aka Deadpool, in a battle against the Mad Titan Thanos.

UA Academy is currently dealing with more villains than ever before, as in the sixth season of the anime adaptation, Class 1-A joined forces with professional crime fighters to fight against Shigaraki and the Paranormal Liberation Front. With the War Arc already seeing some massive casualties across the board, the villains have managed to gain the upper hand thanks to the awakening of Shigaraki, who now has the power of All For One at his disposal. Fortunately, Shigaraki’s full power is hindered, thanks in part to Eraserhead’s Quirk, but in the latest episode of the anime, both Aizawa and Gran Torino may be taken off the battlefield.

Marvel vs. MHA

A My Hero Academia Fan artists shared these dazzling artworks as Deku, Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, and more battled their way through some of the most nefarious villains in Marvel history, with the artwork even seeing Shigaraki and the Joker side-by-side in a vicious crossover:

My Hero Academia isn’t the only anime franchise the Marvel Universe has come across in the past, with a special one-off focus on both the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy battling some of the famous behemoths that make up Attack on Titan. While there’s yet to be an official anime bringing the two universes together, Marvel has dipped its toes into the anime medium before with series focused on the likes of Iron Man, the X-Men, Wolverine, and Blade. Disney+ recently saw an anime anthology made for the Star Wars universe Star Wars: Visionswhich could pave the way for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to follow suit in the future.

Which heroes and villains from both universes would you like to see battle? Feel free to let us know in the comments or call me directly on Twitter @EVComedy to talk about all things comics, anime and the world of UA Academy.
