My Hero Academia Honors Season Six Victim With New Art

The heroes of UA Academy have taken some serious beating in their battle against Shigaraki and the Paranormal Liberation Front in the sixth season of My Hero Academias anime adaptation. As Deku and company pick up the piece after the greatest battle in Shonen history, they discover that a great crime fighter has been unable to survive the battle for Hero Society’s future. To honor the fallen hero, creator Kohei Horikoshi shared some tragic new art to celebrate the anime’s return.

As civilians cried for help in battle, a teacher from the UA Academy was killed fighting a number of villains who followed the lead of Shigaraki and the League of Villains. While not seen on the small screen, Midnight was one of the fallen heroes to die, with several Class 1-A students sadly finding her body and having little time to grieve before having to return to the task of save innocent bystanders.

Kohei Horikoshi, the mangaka who continued the story of My Hero Academia shared a new sketch of Mina Ashido, aka Alien Queen, to this day when she was the one who discovered Midnight’s torn mask and body as the young heroes struggle with the after-effects of the terrible war:

For the rest of season six, the war may be over, but Deku will have a tough road ahead as the fallout from that battle is now going to be a big deal for the Shonen heroes. Realizing that his fight is far from over, Midoriya will have to go to great lengths when it comes to keeping Hero Society together, as seen in the latest opening theme for the anime adaptation, as Shonen fans finally get Dark Deku seen in animation.
