Marvel Studios wants to start this year off with a bang with their Phase 5 slate and they will launch it Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But that’s just their movie lineup. Marvel will also release a few Disney+ series such as Secret invasion, Loki Season 2 and possibly Echo. They have also been at work developing projects such as Daredevil: Born Again, Iron heart even WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Agent of Chaos. The latter has just started filming and has even revealed the lineup of directors, including head writer Jac Schaeffer. According to The Hollywood ReporterMany of the WandaVision cast will return for the series, including David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman and Kate Forbes.
The actors join Deborah Jo Rupp and Emma Caufield who also return for Agatha: Covenant of Chaos. The series also added newcomers Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili and Maria Dizzia. Not much is known about the series as their plot is kept somewhere in the pages of the Darkhold. Marvel probably won’t release the series this year, so fans can probably expect it sometime in 2024.
That will be the next Marvel Studios movie to come out Ant Man and the Wasp: Quatumania. Empire Magazine recently had a chat with director Peyton Reed about how the stakes have risen Quantumania. “People were like, oh, these are nice little palate cleansers after a giant Avengers movie,” Reed told the outlet. “For this third, I said, ‘I don’t want to be the palate cleanser anymore. I want to be the big one Avengers movie.'”
“I grew up a true Marvel comics nerd, and there are a handful of adversaries in the Marvel comics universe who know everything,” Reed continued. “Loki, of course. Doctor Doom from the Fantastic Four. And Kang the Conqueror. Talking to Kevin Feige and Marvel, it was like I want to pit Ant-Man and Wasp against a really formidable villain in this movie, and so we’re doing Kang the Conqueror.”
“In the comics, Kang has lordship over time, he’s a time traveler. His situation is a bit different in this movie, which I won’t spoil for you, but he’s someone who, [while] we live very linear lives, from childhood to death, Kang doesn’t exist that way,” the director grinned.” against the mightiest force in the multiverse.”
The studio describes the film as follows: “In the film, which officially kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, superhero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant. Man and the Wasp Along with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family explores the Quantum Realm, encounters strange new creatures and embarks on an adventure that will take them beyond the frontiers of what they thought possible. Jonathan Majors joins the adventure as Kang.”
