Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 developer teases exciting new feature

Insomniac Games has seemingly teased something pretty interesting Marvel’s Spider Man 2. Insomniac Games has been around for many years and has continuously won the love of players with the Ratchet and Clank series, Resistance and a number of other games of varying scale. However, Insomniac really earned its fame when it was created Marvel’s Spider Man, a game that was a huge commercial and critical success with many praising the webhead’s latest adventure. Many felt it was the best game the character had seen since spiderman 2 on PS2 thanks to its impressive gameplay, cinematic and heartbreaking story and exciting set pieces. It left many eagerly awaiting the sequel and later this year we’ll all finally get a chance to play it.

We really don’t know much about the sequel, except that it will feature Venom, possibly Kraven, and that Peter Parker teams up with Miles Morales in a good way this time around. However during a recent Insomniac Games stream (via Twisted Voxel), lead engine programmer Elan Ruskin revealed that there’s a “really cool” dialogue technology in the next game, which is Marvel’s Spider Man 2. Of course, these could just be things going on under the hood that no one will really notice, but it seems like a remarkable thing to point out. Are there dialogue options? Does the dialogue change based on whether you’re playing as Peter or Miles? Are there more paths to walk Who knows!

If the black color plays a role in the story, it could work as a sort of morality system. That’s more or less how it worked web of shadows, so maybe people will treat Spider-Man differently depending on whether he wears the black suit more than the classic red and blue. Either way, it sounds like there’s going to be a lot more layers to it Marvel’s Spider Man 2 than its predecessor.
