Marvel’s Kevin Feige delivers USC’s 2023 commencement speech

Marvel Studios has been thriving at the box office for over a decade now, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon. The studio is ready to launch their Phase 5 series of projects Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and will close it with Lightning strikes. After that, they will finally release two new Avengers movies Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars to complete Phase 6 and The Multiverse Saga. Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, is the mastermind behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe and doesn’t seem to give up. The studio recently went on a corporate retreat to plan movies for the next decade. Feige may have a lot on his plate with the MCU, but it looks like he’ll be taking a little break to do something really important. Earlier today, the University of Southern California revealed that the president of Marvel Studios will be the first speaker at their 2023 graduation ceremony and will deliver his speech on May 12.

“I am so excited to have Kevin Feige as our incoming speaker. He is a creative force: an impresario who builds extraordinary teams and tells magical, diverse stories that captivate people around the world,” said USC President Carol L. Folt in the announcement. “He sat in the same chairs and walked the same paths as so many of our students – and look where his adventure has taken him. I can’t wait to hear his inspiring stories.”

That will be the next Marvel Studios movie to come out Ant Man and the Wasp: Quatumania. Empire Magazine recently had a chat with director Peyton Reed about how the stakes have risen Quantumania. “People were like, oh, these are nice little palate cleansers after a giant Avengers movie,” Reed told the outlet. “For this third, I said, ‘I don’t want to be the palate cleanser anymore. I want to be the big one Avengers movie.'”

“I grew up a true Marvel comics nerd, and there are a handful of adversaries in the Marvel comics universe who know everything,” Reed continued. “Loki, of course. Doctor Doom from the Fantastic Four. And Kang the Conqueror. Talking to Kevin Feige and Marvel, it was like I want to pit Ant-Man and Wasp against a really formidable villain in this movie, and so we’re doing Kang the Conqueror.”

“In the comics, Kang has lordship over time, he’s a time traveler. His situation is a bit different in this movie, which I won’t spoil for you, but he’s someone who, [while] we live very linear lives, from childhood to death, Kang doesn’t exist that way,” the director grinned.” against the mightiest force in the multiverse.”

The studio describes the film as follows: “In the film, which officially kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, superhero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant. Man and the Wasp Along with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family explores the Quantum Realm, encounters strange new creatures and embarks on an adventure that will take them beyond the frontiers of what they thought possible. Jonathan Majors joins the adventure as Kang.”
