Right now, Jonathan Majors is at the top of their game. From film to television, the actor has been showing off his chops in recent years, and now Marvel Studios is putting them front and center. After all, the MCU star will continue his work with Kang when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania goes live this month. And to celebrate, yes, the star actually channeled One Piece’s Doflamingo in a recent photo shoot.
As you can see below, the goodies were confirmed by the stylist who oversaw the Ebony photo shoot. Alexander-Julian Gib posted a video on their TikTok showing off the work they had done with Majors for the magazine, and there they confirmed that the look was inspired by the One Piece villain.

Obviously, the resemblance between the two looks is easy to spot. Majors is fit shirtless here, and his physique would make Doflamingo a little jealous. Wearing a fuzzy pink coat, Majors has great One Piece energy thanks to his relaxed demeanor, and he lives up to the villain’s outfit. Complete with jeans and boots, this look is soft throughout, so the Doflamingo influence is just the icing on the cake.
Clearly, fans are in love with this one, and Gib deserves all the credit. Their artistic vision here is uncritical, and we’re sure Doffy would agree. Now we need to see the rest of Marvel’s current lineup pay homage to anime, and we can start with Spider-Man’s Tom Holland shouting out Izuku Midoriya.
