You can read the official synopsis for M3GAN here: “M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a lifelike doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by the brilliant robotics of the toy company Gemma (Get out‘s Allison Williams), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector to the child she is attached to. When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her 8-year-old orphaned niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Ghost of Hill House), Gemma is insecure and unprepared to grow older. Under a heavy workload, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to solve both problems – a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.”

Is M3GAN 2 Happened?

A recent article from The New York Times revealed that Blumhouse is merging with James Wan’s Atomic Monster, and it teased the future of M3GAN.

It was actually Mr. Wan who got the ball rolling M3GAN“Atomic Monster first pitched the idea to Warner Bros. executives, who succeeded, in part because Warner already had the Annabel evil puppet series. Mr. Wan then took the project to Mr. [Jason] Blum, who attacked. Universal is so happy with how M3GAN turned out that it was already about one M3GAN continuation. TikTok posts tagged #M3GAN have been viewed 300 million times since the trailer was released a month ago.”
