Atomic Mass Games is ready to make your next game of Star Wars: Legion even more immersive, once you can add a massive crashed X-Wing to your collection of terrain. The Star Wars: Legion Crashed X-Wing Battlefield Expansion adds five new miniatures to the game, four of which feature scattered debris from a crashed X-Wing aimer, while the fifth miniature is the starship’s Rebel Pilot. As you can see in the image below, the X-Wing is similar in scale to the Pilot and will certainly add some cinematic qualities to your next game, although it can also affect gameplay.
That’s because the expansion comes with a special scenario where players compete to recover the X-Wing wreckage and rescue or capture the pilot. The Crashed X-Wing Battlefield expansion sells for $99.99 and can be pre-order here at the Asmodee store. The official description can be found below.
“Players can add even more thematic flair and recreate a unique scenario with this Battlefield expansion for Star Wars: Legion! With four miniatures depicting the scattered debris of a downed X-wing starfighter, this pack immerses players deeper into the ground combat of a galaxy far, far away with themed terrain. In addition to these miniatures, this pack also includes a miniature of a Rebel pilot who becomes the centerpiece of a daring rescue mission scenario where players compete to recover the wreckage and rescue or capture the pilot.”
This is the latest in a series of impressive terrain expansions for the game, and is arguably my favorite since the Downed AT-ST expansion. You can also use other terrain add-ons such as Priority Supplies (supply crates, communication stations) and the Crashed Escape Pod, which also comes with miniatures of C-3PO and R2-D2.
The Star Wars: Legion Crashed X-Wing Battlefield Expansion hits stores on December 16.
