According to We’ve got this coveredthe televisionprogramme Finding your roots revealed that Julia Roberts and Edward Norton they are family.
The ninth season of the series PBS aired on Tuesday (3), and a test revealed that the actors share similar DNA, likely from a distant relative. Announcer Henry Louis Gates Jr. stated:
“You and Ed share a long identical stretch of DNA on your ninth chromosome. That means you both inherited this shared DNA from a distant ancestor somewhere in the middle of your family tree.”
Roberts and Norton were shocked to discover this connection. However, Norton had one complaint in particular. Feigning indignation, he joked, “How come I didn’t get teeth and a smile?”
Although both started their careers in New York City around the same time, Roberts was born in Georgia, while Norton was born in Boston, Massachusetts. They never worked together, despite being two of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors.

Julia Roberts has won an Oscar, three Golden Globes, a Screen Actors Guild, a BAFTA, three National Board of Review, a Critic’s Choice, and an Honorary Award at the Donostia at the San Sebastián Festival.

Edward Norton received three Academy Award nominations. He has won a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild, a National Board of Review, a Critic’s Choice, and a Satellite Award.
Among his most important works as an actor are The two faces of a crime, everyone says I love you Birdman or (the unexpected virtue of ignorance) and The Other American History. He is currently in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mysteries.
About finding your roots
Finding your roots premiered in 2012. The series attempts to uncover the family histories of several famous Americans.
The series has already faced some controversy involved am Affleck. According to the website NPRBen persuaded the host not to present certain details of his slave-owning ancestors.
This caused PBS to cancel the third and fourth seasons of Finding your rootsto adjust searches and results to certain standards to avoid further controversy.
