Jujutsu Kaisen highlights Maki with bright cover art

Jujitsu Kaisen Maki Zenin has been through quite a bit since the events of the Shibuya incident, and the cover art for the latest installment of the manga soon to hit overseas shelves highlights everything that’s happened to her since then! Maki was already one of the big fan favorites that the series loved to see in action, but that grew enormously with the fallout from the Shibuya incident. The Maki we see in the final chapters of the series is now a completely different person than when she was first introduced to the series thanks to all the chaos.

The Culling Game arc has pushed Maki into a whole new kind of realm as she now advances with a massive power-up and some changes that have wiped the Zenin clan off the map. She’s been through so much (and looks much different than ever before), that she’s now been given the honor of gracing the cover of volume 22 of the manga series, which is gearing up for release in Japan later this spring. You can check out the album cover below:

How to Watch Jujitsu Kaisen

Jujitsu KaisenViz Media’s manga is now fully available to read through Viz Media’s Shonen Jump digital library if you want to see what’s going on with Maki as the Culling Game continues. If the anime is more your speed, you can catch up on the first season of the TV anime and the Jujitsu Kaisen 0 prequel movie now streaming with Crunchyroll. They tease Jujitsu Kaisen as such:

“Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, although he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, in order to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats Ryomen Sukuna’s finger and takes the curse into his own soul. From that moment on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful wizard, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is accepted into Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and so begins the heroic story of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never return.”
