Jensen Ackles reveals he was “in talks” for Deadpool Movie

Jensen Ackles is perhaps best known for playing Dean Winchester Supernatural and took on the superhero genre as Soldier Boy The boysbut now the actor reveals he was in talks to appear in at one point deadpool also. While performing at the Salute to Supernatural convention in Phoenix (via CBR), Ackles revealed that he was “very in talks” for the movie that eventually starred Ryan Reynolds, but was unavailable due to his schedule, which caused things to stall.

“There was definitely a movie I talked about a lot,” said Ackles. “I wasn’t available, so the train just stopped there. But if I had been available, I would have had to jump through the studio hoops and jump through the producer hoops and stuff. But I had a really good shot, and it’s a movie that I really really like.

He continued, “It was probably a good thing because my ex-girlfriend was there and that probably would have been awkward so it probably worked out for the best. I think that whole cast was great. I probably would have messed that up before it would have been good for a lot of people if I had been a part of it, so it was probably better if I didn’t. But that would have been cool.”

Come one Deadpool3?

In September, Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Deadpool3 indeed came and, more than that, the movie will see the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The film is currently set to hit theaters on November 8, 2024. It was recently revealed that Reynolds is now referring to the currently untitled film as “the Deadpool/Wolverine movie”.

“Sometimes it’s the story. Sometimes it’s the people. When things really work, it’s all of the above,” Reynolds said of what draws him to a project. “I count ‘Deadpool’ 1 and 2 in that category, along with ‘Free Guy’ and ‘Adam Project.’ If you get to make movies with the people you love, I think that’s what cocaine feels like.”

Details all around Deadpool3‘s plot are close to the vest, but fans know it will reunite Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on screen for the first time since the critically panned movie X-Men origin: Wolverine from 2009. This threequel also brings together Reynolds and director Shawn Levy for a third time, as the two previously worked together on The Adam Project and Free guy.
