James Gunn debunks Silver Surfer’s debut in Guardians Holiday Special

After years of teasing and hints, The Guardians of the Galaxy holiday special is about to become a reality and is coming to Disney+ later this month. The special, which will be the second special presentation within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is expected to equip fans until May next year. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, all while fans get into the holiday spirit. Of course, the project’s place in the MCU begs the question of what other possible characters could show up – but it looks like writer-director James Gunn just debunked a major one.

In a tweet on Thursday, Gunn responded to a Twitter user’s “reaction” to the Holiday Special, who claimed that Silver Surfer is being introduced in a post-credits scene. Gunn pretty clearly debunked this by simply stating that it is “not true”.

“The Holiday special is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Gunn recently revealed Radio Times. com. “It’s completely ridiculous, and every day we can’t believe we’re making it. We all love it. It’s unlike anything anyone’s ever seen before. I can’t wait for people to see it.”

“And it comes out pretty quickly,” Gunn noted. “You know, it’s out this Christmas. It’s not like people have to wait that long.”
