The Elite spent a good portion of their matchup with Death Triangle this week AEW dynamite trolling CM Punk. The show marked the first time that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were back in Chicago after September’s “Brawl Out” incident, and many fans in the arena loudly showed their support for Punk by berating the EVPs. Omega did most of the trolling, doing Punk’s “Go To Sleep” taunt, biting PAC on the forearm (a reference to Ace Steel biting him in the locker room brawl), and hitting PAC with a GTS late in the match for a two – count. Matt Jackson also joined in the fun by pretending to screw up a Buckshot Lariat just like Punk used to do Everything or nothing.
According to Dave Meltzer, the people in Punk’s camp weren’t happy with The Elite’s stunt – “Man I know there are people close to CM Punk, boy, weren’t they happy with that six-man tag match .” (h/t Cultaholic)
Meanwhile, Omega continued to tantalise on social media, crediting Kenta with the GTS: “Thanks, @KENTAG2S. Always a good brother. Bullet Club 4-Life amirite?”

It’s ironic that Omega would participate in the trolling considering he just told fans to move on from the “Brawl Out” situation in an interview with Sports illustrated — “There are things no one can talk about, so I encourage people to let it go,” he added. “It doesn’t change the fact that we want a team performance in AEW. I don’t even implicitly mean myself and my opponent. It also means the referee, the fans, the people who set up the ring, everyone – even a technical team. It’s a mistake can ruin the memory of a match I can refer back to the barbed wire exploding death match So I encourage people to leave because there is no information to release Although I can’t talk about it I want to let the fans know that I still want the best for professional wrestling.”
“This isn’t Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks against CM Punk. It’s people trying to show off their craft. You can boo Kenny Omega, or the Young Bucks, or CM Punk, but I hope people don’t forget us” We are people struggling to show our art,” he later added.
