HBO is about to release a Donna Summer documentary this year. Oscar and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Roger Ross Williams will direct the film. I love to love you, Donna Summer will premiere on HBO in May 2023. The documentary will also be available to stream through the HBO Max app. Julie Goldman produces with Carolyn Hepburn, Chris Clements, David Blackman and Roger Ross Williams. J. Daniel Torres is on board as co-producer.

Lizzo also got her own huge live concert appearance on the app and a documentary. HBO feels the collaboration was a good idea with her popularity and positive voice in pop culture. “Growing up, I never dreamed I would experience all the things I’ve accomplished in my life, and I’m just getting started,” Lizzo wrote in a statement. “I am so excited to be able to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max. Van Because I love you to my dramatic world tour, losing and winning love, and making my new album Specialyou all get to see how much time, patience, blood, sweat and tears have been put into this process.”
