Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde were reportedly “taking a break” after two years together

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are reportedly on hiatus from their romantic relationship, after being linked for nearly two years. The news was confirmed through multiple sources in an exclusive report of People, indicating that the decision to “take a break” was made amicably by both, due in part to Styles traveling internationally for the next leg of his “Love on Tour” tour. This comes just days after Wilde and her children were reportedly spotted at Styles’ Nov. 15 concert in Los Angeles. As one friend quoted in the report claims, “Right now they have different priorities that keep them apart.”

“He’s still touring and going abroad now. She’s focusing on her kids and her work in LA,” a source revealed in the report. “It’s a very kind decision.”

“They are still very good friends,” said a source for the couple.

When did Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles start dating?

Wilde and Styles were first publicly linked in January 2021, during the production of Wilde’s recent film Don’t worry honey. The couple’s real-life relationship is woven into an out-of-the-narrative setting Don’t worry honey for quite some time, including reports that it sparked an altercation between Wilde and the movie’s star, Florence Pugh.

“Florence is a force and we are so grateful that she can make it tonight despite being in production DuneWilde shared at a press conference during the Venice Film Festival when a journalist asked him to “clear the air” about the rumours. “I know as a director how upsetting it is to lose an actor, even for a day, so I am very grateful to her and [Dune director] Denis Villeneuve for her help — we’re thrilled to be celebrating her work tonight. I can’t say enough how honored I am to have her as our protagonist. She’s great in the movie and as for all the endless gossip in the tabloids and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds on itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute, I think it’s fed enough.”

There was also “SpitGate”, a social media controversy where it was alleged that Styles spat on one of Don’t worry honey‘s other stars, Chris Pine, sitting between Pine and Wilde at the Venice Film Festival.

“No, he didn’t,” Wilde later said during a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “But I think it’s a perfect example of people looking for drama everywhere they can. Harry didn’t spit on Chris.”
