Grammys 2023: Meet the award winners

The winners of Grammy 2023 will be announced this Sunday 5 in Los Angeles, United States. Considered one of the most important music awards, the Grammy has 91 categories and some of them were announced during the pre-ceremony of the event, which started at 5:30 PM Brasilia time. The singer Anita competes in one of the main categories of the night: New artist. Beyoncewho is the pinnacle of the award with nine nominations has already won two awards and if she continues at this rate she could surpass maestro Georg Solti to become the artist with the most Grammy wins. Kendrick Lamar has eight nominations and Adele and Brandi Carlile are tied at seven. Future, Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled and Randy Merrill have six nominations. The actress Violet Davis took a statuette in the Audiobook and Storytelling category for the book “Finding Me” and became the 18th person with the rare title of EGOT. That means the artist who has already won the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards. This select group includes artists such as Rita Moreno, Alan Menken, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Legend, Mike Nichols, Mel Brooks, Jennifer Hudson and Whoopi Goldberg.
