God of War Ragnarok 2.03 Update Released, Patch Notes Revealed

War god Ragnarok got another update this week with a set of patch notes for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game bringing it to version 2.03. This quick update follows version 2.02 released just a few days earlier with its own set of patch notes. Given the timing of this and the last one, it makes sense that the patch notes for version 2.03 are composed entirely of bug fixes for various issues players were experiencing.

While small in terms of the number of changes being made, the tweaks made in version 2.03 seem to be quite useful. They include things like fixes for crashes and progress errors where players can get stuck at various points in the game.

The patch notes for version 2.03 can be seen below:

Quests and Progress

  • Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in the caves during “The Lost Sanctuary” quest.

Stability and performance

  • Fixed a rare crash when using the gear menu.
  • Fixed a rare crash when scrolling through the list of assignments in the journal.
  • Fixed a rare crash when navigating using the map.
  • Fixed a crash that could appear randomly during gameplay.

The version 2.02 update a few days earlier had more changes to consider, changes that were split between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. The split was really just that the PlayStation 5 got some minor service tweaks while the PlayStation 4 version got everything else, but that was so the PlayStation 4 could catch up on some of the fixes that the PlayStation 5 version already got before .

More updates like this should be expected in the coming weeks as Sony Santa Monica continues to weed out bugs and other issues with the game. Patch notes for those updates will be shared as they appear, but until then, check out some of our past coverage of the game below:
