Gerald Butler revealed that his dream job when he wasn’t an actor involves being quite isolated from humanity in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by nature.
The actor stars in the new action movie Big alertand on the red carpet for the attraction’s launch, he spoke to Page six and shared his “alternative plan” for work:
“I would work in something like a national park, as a land coordinator forest ranger or something. I like this idea of having nature as an everyday experience.”
And where would Gerard be the perfect place to hide from the world? According to him, the most isolated regions of Europe are his main options. He said that when he’s on vacation, he looks for places like this to relax:
“I think [a Escócia, país de origem do ator] it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. And often I spend my holidays in places like Iceland, in the middle of nowhere.”
Gerard Butler learned to fly a plane for the movie
In Big alertGerard lives the character Brodie Torrance, who must land his plane full of passengers in a war zone to save their lives.
In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he learned all the details about flying real planes so that he could convince the audience:
Basically, I worked with 2 pilots throughout the film and the simulator pilots. So I can fly anywhere, practice takeoff, practice landing, practice all the maneuvers in the movie. You work through the movie, every sequence, and then you try to land a plane that’s 100 feet above the ground, flying down Highway 405, Highway 101. I spent a lot of time in that cockpit, just to get really comfortable. to feel.
Spending most of the movie in the cockpit of the plane, the actor explained that he took the experience seriously and really understood the entire dashboard. He also took a basic jab at professional colleagues who just “cheat”:
“I wanted to know as much as possible, it didn’t feel right being that kind of idiotic actor sitting there thinking, ‘What button should I press?’ I really knew what things were for, and that was good because you have to do a lot of things at once. And when it happens, you really want the audience to say, ‘I do believe these two guys are pilots. I join them. That helps a lot during the trip.”
Big alert is playing in movie theaters all over Brazil.
