The end is near for Fear the walking dead. AMC announced that the upcoming eighth season would be the last on the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour The living Dead spin-off will end with a shortened final season of 12 episodes. The season will be split into two parts, each consisting of six episodes, starting with the May 14 premiere of Season 8 on AMC and AMC+ and ending later in 2023. “One of the funniest questions I get is ‘What happened? Fear the walking dead that it ends?’ Nothing happened,” explains García on Instagram Live. “What happened is we’ve been on the air for eight seasons and we felt like it was a really fun run.
