The trailer in front Fast X is expected to be released next week, and Universal is teasing the trailer for the tenth installment with a series of legacy trailers showing off the first nine films. The official The Fast Saga YouTube account shared new trailers for it The Fast and the Furious And 2 Fast 2 Furious earlier this week and yesterday saw the release of the legacy trailer for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift next to the fourth movie, Fast & Furious. Today is a new day, which means it’s time to get a glimpse of what many would call the best of the entire franchise, Fast Five.
“Never, ever let them get into cars. FAST X trailer drops 2/10,” The Fast Saga account teased on YouTube today. Naturally, Fast Five was the first film of the franchise to star The Rock as Luke Hobbs. You can watch the trailer below:
Why isn’t The Rock in it? Fast X?
After Fast FiveDwayne Johnson next appeared in Fast and furious 6, Furious 7, The fate of the furiousAnd Fast & Furious presents: Hobbs & Shaw. In 2021, franchise star Vin Diesel made a public plea to persuade Johnson to return for the upcoming film. The Rock declined Diesel’s request, calling it “an example of his manipulation” and confirmed he would not be returning to play Luke Hobbs in the final two Fast Saga films.
“I said [Diesel] right away that I wouldn’t be returning to the franchise,” Johnson told CNN during an extensive interview in which he looks back on his career. “I was firm but heartfelt in my words and said I would always support the cast and always advocate for the franchise to be successful, but there was no chance I would return,” said Johnson. “Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he raised his kids in the post as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out. We had talked about this months ago and came to a clear understanding .”
Who’s playing Fast X?
In addition to Diesel, the returning franchise cast members are in Fast X include Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel and Charlize Theron. Diesel is twice Guardians of the Universe co-star Michael Rooker, who came as old friend of the Toretto family, Buddy F9confirmed last year that he will resume his role in Fast X.
