Erasmo Carlos left behind a legion of friends and fans. The singer-songwriter passed away on Tuesday at the age of 22 at the age of 81. Affectionately called “Tremendão”, the artist was admitted to a hospital in the Rio de Janeiro and had to be intubated this morning. The cause of death has not yet been announced. The composer was released from hospital on November 2, after spending 20 days in the same hospital with edemigenic syndrome (excess fluid trapped in body tissues). Considered one of the pioneers of rock and a symbol of it Young guard, Erasmus composed 600 songs. Among them several classics such as “Sitting by the wayside”, “My bad reputation”, “Wife”, “I want everything to go to hell”, “Even if it’s me” and “It is forbidden to smoke”. “You are home, you are welcome, you see, you believe. I lost the ability to remember what life was like without you, maybe it didn’t even exist. And maybe it was so easy to forget because people get used to peace easily. It was not the first time, you fought a lot to show it, but I finally found peace in you,” wrote Fernanda Passos, the artist’s wife. In addition to his wife, the singer leaves behind three children.
