Dragon Ball superfigure brings out Gohan’s beast

Dragon Ball Super: Superhero arrived in North America earlier this year and introduced countless Shonen fans not only to “Piccolo Smooth” and “Orange Piccolo”, but also to Gohan’s latest transformation into Gohan Beast. With the new form shaping up to be one of the biggest Dragon Ball moments in 2022, SH Figuarts has unveiled a first look at this new figure that shows us Gohan at his strongest, with a hairstyle that raises his follicles to the sky and the gives a gray tint.

Paralleling how Gohan was able to hit Super Saiyan 2 during the Cell Games, the return of the Dragon Ball Z villain saw Piccolo nearly die due to Cell Max’s ultimate power. While the Red Ribbon Army ace in the hole didn’t have the power it originally should have, it was rather awakened from its slumber before the full effects of the experiments took effect. Fortunately for the Z-Fighters, Gohan’s new transformation was more than enough to take down Cell Max, with Goku’s son releasing his own version of the Special Beam Cannon, destroying the monster’s brain in the process.

Tamahasi Nations took the opportunity to get a first look at the forthcoming figure that gives us a new look at Gohan Beast, a power the Z-Fighter discovered that might not just put him on par with Goku’s Ultra Instinct and Vegeta’s Ultra Ego, but might put him above them on the power level scale:

At this point, Gohan Beast has yet to make its way into the pages of Dragon Ball Super’s manga, though we’re confident it will eventually make it to print, though it may be some time before it does. This year’s Jump Festa, the biggest event of the year for Shonen franchises, promises to dedicate time to Dragon Ball Superlikely giving us a better sense of what’s to come for the Z-Fighters after the conclusion of the Granolah The Survivor Arc.
