Dragon Ball Super has a new arc to take care of these days, and right now fans are wondering if the manga will ever bring its goodies to the screen. Goku and Vegeta have been kept for print since their last TV show ended, but the anime has continued with movies. Still, the original features haven’t touched Moro, and the villain arc remains a favorite with readers. And now a fan is grabbing attention on YouTube as they single-handedly brought Goku face-to-face with Moro.
As you can see above, user Fyemaj just posted a new video this week showing off their animation skills. The fan anime brings Ultra Instinct Goku to life as he battles Moro’s final form. With Ibis Paint and After Effects on hand, this clip pays homage to Goku as he takes on Moro, and it has fans begging more than ever for an anime comeback.
And really, you can hardly blame the fans. Dragon Ball Super did release new anime for fans with a movie in 2021, but the series hasn’t released anything for TV in years. The show wrapped up in March 2018 to make way for Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Since the show closed, series creator Akira Toriyama has teamed up with illustrator Toyotaro to continue the story of Dragon Ball Super. A number of arcs have already been completed and now Gohan and Trunks take center stage in a prequel story for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
It’s clear that fans like Fyemaj are ready for Goku and Moro to get some on-screen love, but the jury’s still out on when Dragon Ball might return to television. Toei Animation has kept quiet on the subject despite numerous rumors. So for now, these kind of projects are the only way our Saiyans can compete against Moro, The Planet Eater.
