DC fans defend Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal of Lex Luthor

Zack Snyder’s Justice League fans defend Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal of Lex Luthor this weekend. With Black Friday rolling around, that means it’s time for some weird discussions on the internet. Somehow this became a social media debate and that means we have to reevaluate the actor’s performance. Luthor’s version out for many fans Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice didn’t seem to connect. But Snyder’s fans strongly disagree. Stunt casting the Social network acting for a strange billionaire remains a charming quirk of that entire period. So it seems that Eisenberg will never again be able to wear his fine suits and threaten Henry Cavill’s hero. But we live in strange times so anything is possible. The Luthor actor explained his feelings about the character’s future with Deadline earlier this year.

“Listen, I’m not a fan of comic books,” Eisenberg explained. “For me, it wasn’t a role I’d imagined since childhood. For me, it was an opportunity to play this great character that this great writer wrote, and I loved doing that. So to play it is a pleasure, and not to play it, I won’t be ashamed to tell my kids about it, because that’s not an important genre in my life, even though I enjoyed making that movie.
