Tom Taylor had kept a secret about it Adventures of Superman: Jon Kentand the revelation will be music to your ears Injustice fans. The Dawn of DC features new starting points for the Superman Family, including a new series for Jon Kent. Tom Taylor and Clayton Henry team up on Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent, a new limited series that stems from Taylor’s Superman: Son of Kal-El. Jon Kent and Val-Zod must stop Ultraman from killing Kal-Els from across the multiverse, and one universe the series will travel to is the world of the Injustice: gods among us video game, which Taylor is known for after writing Injustice And Injustice 2 for direct current.
“Injustice for me it is a very difficult time. I had so much fun with that book. Of course I had been doing it for years. I think I was originally hired for 15 chapters, and I’ve written over 150,” said Tom Taylor. DC.com. “But there’s a lot left Injustice that rubs me the wrong way. I don’t believe that no matter what happens to him, Superman can become that person. I don’t believe Wonder Woman is going to be that person. So to me it’s a really interesting Elseworld, and throwing Jon Kent as kind of a beacon of hope and in a way a pretty innocent character and a character who wants the best for the world, throwing him into that world where his dad is a dictator gives us so much to play with. I’ve been talking about this story with all my friends who will be listening for months, long before we knew where we were going with this.”
Tom Taylor teases Jon Kent’s first interaction with Injustice Superman
In the Injustice world, Superman reacts to the death of Lois Lane and his unborn child by becoming a tyrant. Obviously, seeing an adult Jon Kent, who presumably would have been his kid, will be one of the major turning points for Injustice Superman. Taylor teased what that father-son meeting will be like.
“I don’t want to spoil his reaction. I wrote down their meeting and it’s a big one,” Taylor teased. “I don’t want to reveal exactly what it is because we want to tell so much of the beauty of this to the people. But we have to let it Injustice fans know we’re going back. The first meeting was a moment. I can’t really describe it yet. You just have to read it.”
Injustice Damian Wayne debuts
Taylor added that New Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent takes place around Injustice 2: Year 5and another big surprise will be the Injustice debut of Damian Wayne.
“Sure, Batman. There’s Superman, there’s Wonder Woman, and how she reacts to Jon suddenly showing up,” the writer said of characters Jon Kent meets. “But I think the biggest — and I wasn’t about to give this away, but you know what, for anyone reading this I will — there’s another Damian Wayne in the Injustice world. Literally, his best friend is essentially not on the side of the angels in this world. That’s going to give us a really fun and entertaining dynamic and a pretty haunted dynamic to play with.”
