Reference in journalism in the country, communicator died this Thursday, 2; the causes have not yet been disclosed by TV Globo or by relatives
Considered a pioneer and one of the greatest references of Brazilian journalism, Glory Mary died this Thursday, 2. The journalist’s cause of death was not disclosed by TV Globe, a station where Glória worked for more than 50 years. The professional had been diagnosed with a cancer of long in 2019. The death of Glória Maria caused a rapid backlash on social networks, with several celebrities, journalists and authorities lamenting “A great loss for journalism and for all Brazilians,” wrote the senator Soraya Thronicke while mourning death. the minister Silvio Almeida classified the journalist as a “reference, especially for the black population”. Already the minister Anelle Franco he said that Glória was “synonymous with competence” and emphasized the importance of his presence in the newspapers. The president Lula also mourned the death of Glória, stating that the journalist captured “remarkable moments” and “left her mark in the memory” of the people. The Governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitasalso expressed himself saying: “The daring and sensitivity in researching and covering historical moments in the country are the legacy of a brilliant career that inspired colleagues in the profession and moved thousands of viewers”.
