Canceled Titanfall Game Details Leak Online; Wall-Running would have returned

Details for the recently canceled Titanfall game, codename Titanfall Legends, have popped up online and it sounds incredible. Titanfall is one of the most beloved shooter franchises of the past decade, but that may not be immediately apparent given how many entries in the series actually exist. The first game was quite a hit as an Xbox exclusive multiplayer game, but the sequel received critical acclaim due to its innovative and well-crafted campaign and rock solid multiplayer. However, a third game never materialized, instead EA opted to invest in a new battle royale set in the Titanfall universe called Apex Legends and well… we all know how good that was. A new Titanfall game was reportedly recently in development, but was tragically cancelled.

When news came out that this mysterious Titanfall game had been cancelled, very few details were available about it. All we knew was that it was a single player game called Titanfall Legends. However, journalist Jeff Grubb has provided some insight into the Giant Bomb podcast and noted that the game was inspired by Eternal fate and would have been a single-player addition Apex legs. The game is said to bring back a number of Titanfall characters, including the beloved Titan BT. The titan’s chassis is said to have been discovered and revived by Rampart. Blisk, another Titanfall character, would have been the playable protagonist and could control an upgradeable BT. Various legends are also said to have appeared to give the player new powers. As is tradition in the series, wall-running would also have been an important part of the gameplay. That’s not what the game was for titan fall 3but instead a mix of Titanfall and Apex Legends because more people would have played and were familiar with the free-to-play title.

Unfortunately, since the game has been canceled, so don’t expect to ever play it. Or titan fall 3 ever happens is a mystery, but Grubb suggested that Apex Legends has more priority. It’s a little disappointing to hear that such a cool concept has been killed off, but that’s the way it goes with the gaming industry sometimes.
