Bleach Cliffhanger teases Yhwach’s real power

Bleach: Millennial Blood War has ushered in a surprising new phase in the fight against a series of invaders in the Soul Society, and the cliffhanger of the anime’s latest episode teases the kind of real-life power that the Sternritter leader Yhwach really has at his disposal. When the new anime series kicked off with a mysterious new enemy declaring war on the Soul Society, it was soon revealed that their leader would be much harder to deal with than the Soul Reapers anticipated. Now that the war has fully begun, it has been proven to be very true.

Bleach: Millennial Blood War’In the latest episode, Chief Captain Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto took on the Sternritter leader Yhwach by showing off the power his Bankai was supposed to unleash. But as the episode came to a close, it was revealed that Yamamoto was not a fighter Yhwach at all and that Sternritter’s leader is much stronger than Yamamoto could ever handle. Now the leader shows what he really can do by knocking out a heavy hitter as the episode came to a close.

How strong is Yhwach?

Episode 6 of Bleach: Millennial Blood War saw Yamamoto do everything he could to take out Yhwach, and the Sternritter leader appears defeated. It’s soon enough that the real Yhwach emerges and reveals that he had distracted Yamamoto while carrying out his real plan during the invasion. Catching Yamamoto by surprise, he steals Yamamoto’s Bankai and reveals that he was the only one who could really handle the power of such an explosive Bankai.

After stealing Yamamoto’s power, Yhwach summons a giant sword made of Reishi and uses it to seemingly wipe out the main captain as the episode comes to a close. Not only was he strong enough to sneak through the Soul Society completely undetected, but he’s also much stronger than the clone version we saw in action fighting on par with Yamamoto. If he can take down the main captain, it’s certainly terrifying for what he’ll be able to do in the next few episodes.
