During a slate presentation, Gunn described Brave and brave as a “very strange father and son story” that is “based on the Grant Morrison comic book series, one of my favorite Batman Walks.” Morrison envisioned Damian as the young son of Bruce Wayne and the assassin Talia al Ghul – daughter of Bat-adversary Ra’s al Ghul – who was raised by the League of Assassins for the first few years of his life.

The film, which has not set a release date, will star an actor who isn’t Ben Affleck or Robert Pattinson. The brave and the bold will feature other members of the Bat-Family, Batman’s crime-fighting partners who have counted characters in the comics as Dick Grayson’s Nightwing, Jason Todd’s Red Hood, Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl, and Tim Drake’s Robin.
